Guest from Colombia for workshop
This summer we had a workshop guest from Colombia. His name is Mr. Fabio and he is making engraving printings. The picture of the printing is his test prints. He took our workshop to be able to make paper by his self to make his print work much deeper. At first he made traditional Japanese paper. But Kozo: Japanese paper material fiber, is difficult to get in Colombia so we also did paper making with bark of vine which can be found in Colombia. Traditional method of Japanese paper making can be apply to other kind of handmade paper making.
It was a big honor for us to have guests all the way from the other side of the earth. We had a fun time with them talking about our different culture and society. The sketch is drawn by Mr. David, the son of Mr. Fabio.
