Since its opening in 2006, we have welcomed many guests from Japan and abroad.
Everyone is impressed by the Washi paper rooms and the location itself.
We are once again moved by the fact that people of all ages and backgrounds are healed in a space centered around Washi paper, a traditional Japanese culture.

At Kamikoya, we don’t just want you to visit as a place to stay or create artwork.
Arrive at a village surrounded by fields of material plants, breathe in the mountain air, and make paper with your own hands.
Spend time with loved ones while gazing at the starry sky at night, and sleep in a bedroom surrounded by Washi paper.
In the morning, gaze at the valley fog.
We hope that through such time, you will leave with a slightly kinder heart.
